The British player made it to the third stage in three out of four Grand Slam events this year.
Emma Raducanu from Great Britain has pulled out of the last two tournaments of the year as a result of a medical condition she has been fighting over the past 10 days.
Raducanu, aged 22 had planned to participate in tournaments in Tokyo and Hong Kong but has decided to fly home to regain her health ahead of launching her preparations for 2026.
These plans will involve trainer Francisco Roig, as both individuals have decided to continue collaborating in 2026.
Raducanu required blood pressure checks while playing the initial match with Ann Li in Wuhan last week and withdrew when trailing 6-1 4-1 on an oppressively humid day.
Another medical visit was necessary a doctor's assessment at this week's Ningbo Open, where she fell in a three-set match to Chinese wildcard Zhu Lin in the opening round.
Raducanu was also moving noticeably restricted in the third set in the match with Zhu because of a lower back issue that has affected her during parts of the season.
Those results meant an encouraging season, in which she climbed into the world's top 30 after more than three years for the first time since 2022, ended with three successive defeats.
The athlete was close to victory with three match points before losing to Jessica Pegula in the third stage in last month's Beijing event.
Raducanu won 28 matches this year and advanced to the semis in Washington, but the highlight of her season was at the Miami event in March.
As Britain's top player advanced to the quarters of the WTA 1000 event, overcoming Emma Navarro, the eighth seed during the tournament before losing in three sets to Pegula, ranked fourth.
She worked with Mark Petchey as coach from Miami until Wimbledon, with Roig assuming the role for the US Open.
The first plan with the ex-coach of Rafael Nadal was for the remainder of the year but they will keep working together, with a training session scheduled in the coming months.
She mentioned that her three-day trial alongside Roig after Wimbledon was like a "secret mission" as the meeting was kept under wraps.
She nearly succeeded to overcoming Sabalenka, the world number one at the first competition with Roig in Cincinnati during August.
Roig was also with Raducanu in the New York tournament, where she advanced to round three before being beaten by Elena Rybakina, the 2022 Wimbledon winner.
