The Mighty Nein's Opening Sequence Chose the Incorrect Critical Role Track

The Mighty Nein, the newest animated series by the beloved role-playing group, revealed an exciting introductory sequence. It showcases the beloved group of outcasts, outcasts, and rogues kicking ass and making their mark, while teasing at multiple heart-wrenching backstories for characters including the voice actor's mage Caleb, and another actor's warlock orc, Fjord.

All in all, the opening appears amazing. But I couldn't help feeling that something was missing in the song choice.

The intro employs "Welcome to the Continent", an exceptional song composed by artist the talented musician. This piece from the soundtrack album of that title, the second release put out by the production company's music division their music brand. It's a wonderful sentimental choice, and I believe that devotees of the sequel series will love its inclusion.

But for me, The series' intro fails to capture the excitement and excitement that accompanied the second campaign's live-play sessions. "It's Your Turn", written by singer-songwriter the artist, became an immediate hit for me when it was first revealed in 2015, and it only got better when co-founder Sam Riegel added lyrics to the melody for the series' animated intro in 2018.

Including singing from one actress, another performer, Travis Willingham, as well as the writer, the track was memorable and fun. At the time, I hadn't even watched the follow-up series at that point, but this was such an earworm that I kept it on my phone. This track that excites you before you dive into an episode of fantasy hijinks.

The Mighty Nein's opening with "Welcome to Wildemount" doesn't strike the same chords for me. It's a grand piece of music, but based on my understanding of the group, I feel that its tone is a little off.

Of course, Critical Role has stated that the series will have some surprises and differences from the original live sessions. A tonal change for its intro appears as among these.

This animated adventure will be available to watch on the streaming service from November 19. If you can't wait before that, or want a head start to learn about the characters of the second series, the actual play are available on Spotify and the video site.
